Following are excerpts from a TV debate which aired on Press TV, featuring political commentators Lee Kaplan and Ken O’Keefe. The debate was posted on the Internet on July 19, 2013.
O’Keefe: At the end of the day, these people who are in power - the panksters in particular – are the ones pulling the strings for a third world war, because they need to keep the people divided. That is really what is happening here. What is being revealed is that despite the immense power of these individuals, these psychopaths, they are losing. They are not able to carry out the agenda as they see [fit], both for Syria and Iran. And thank God for that.
Moderator: Lee Kaplan, do you agree with Ken O’Keefe?
Kaplan: Well, first of all, Mr. O’Keefe is talking through his hat. By the way, his name is not Ken O’Keefe. That is his ex-wife’s maiden name, and he’s not who he says he is. One of the things that he’s always been involved with are the terrorist groups, like Hamas, and he’s promoted them, and he was a supporter of Saddam Hussein. So he is certainly not someone who is against war. He is against war by Western powers to remove terrorists and dictatorships.
O’Keefe: Now, Lee Kaplan, I would say – if we are going to be personal about it … I would consider you to be more of a prostitute than I would consider you to be any kind of analyst. You will do anything that your power-brokers tell you to say. Ultimately, what you are doing, when you are talking about Russia not getting involved, and all of these external issues, all you are trying to do is to justify what the powers that be, those pay-masters who put you in positions of influence…They are only giving you those orders because, ultimately, that is their agenda, and it’s the only way they can maintain their system.
I don’t believe for one second that you believe anything you say. What you are really doing is selling your soul to the devil, as it were, and you will say anything and everything, if it means that you will continue to have this position of influence and power, which they give to you. You are nothing more than a minion. Really, I have more respect for the prostitute on the street than I do for you… Shame on you … No, Keep your mouth shut. Shame on you for saying that I supported Saddam Hussein. It’s the same government you serve right now that supported Saddam Hussein.
Kaplan: Let me tell you something about Ken O’Keefe. Ken O’Keefe, who was supposedly a Palestinian advocate, was accused of embezzling funds for the Free Gaza Movement flotilla. I believe he was even arrested in England under suspicion of doing that. When some of the women in the International Solidarity Movement – who, by the way, I am no fan of – confronted him about his stealing the money, he whipped out his p**** in front of them as an insult. Mr. O’Keefe, unfortunately, has been a traitor to his country, although he still is a U.S. citizen, despite his claims that he is not. Ken, if you want to get personal with me – feel free to do it, and I will lay on even more on you…
Moderator: No, we don’t want that, but Ken O’Keefe, I’m going to have your reaction. I’m going to ask you to keep it brief, because what Lee Kaplan did was a character assassination on you.
O’Keefe: Yeah, absolutely. I’d like to see where this man thinks he can establish that I whipped out my p**** apparently. He wrote something like that on the Internet. You have the ignorance and stupidity to actually say it on international TV, so I would now like to ask, since I actually don’t have money for anything …If anything, I have sacrificed my ability to make an income for many years.
Kaplan: Greta Berlin of the ISM actually wrote that.
O’Keefe: Shut your mouth. Shut your mouth. OK, I’ll tell you what – I did not interrupt you while you said all of the things you said both times…
Kaplan: You just admitted it…
O’Keefe: But you are such a disgusting individual that you are able to cite lies, and you are also incapable of listening.
Kaplan: You accused me…
Moderator: Lee Kaplan… Ken O’Keefe, please… Lee Kaplan, go ahead…
Kaplan: You accused me of being in the pay of the powers-that-be out there. I am in nobody’s pay. I am an independent journalist. I don’t get paid by Israel or the United States.
O’Keefe: You are a prostitute, plain and simple
Kaplan: I make money doing research.
O’Keefe: In fact, a prostitute on the street deserves far more respect for selling her body than you do for selling your soul. You have absolutely no honor and no integrity whatsoever. You will pay, as this world continues to move in the right direction. Truth be told, you will be seen not as only a prostitute, but as a servant of tyranny, plain and simple. That is all you are. Getting back to Syria … This man is a complete idiot, and that’s all there is to it. Al-Qaeda is nothing more than a creation of the CIA. We all know this. This isn’t even debatable in intelligence circles. Al-Qaeda has been the greatest gift to this tyrannical agenda of the empire for over 12 years now. I was the gift that we could blame 9/11 on.
Kaplan: Delusional.
O’Keefe: 9/11 was clearly an inside job. The Mossad was involved, and also the corrupt treasonist leaders within the U.S. military, stand down orders, and whatnot. We all know the truth about 9/11 – the classic false flag operation used to blame Al-Qaeda, a creation of the CIA, and to instigate wars, continuing the rape and plunder of Afghanistan and Iraq. Those of us who can see and actually think and have any kind of honor and integrity can actually see this game for what it is. It is only these minions who continue to spout this rubbish, and it won’t be much longer before these people are thrown into the rubbish bin of history, because nothing more than bile pours from their mouth.
Moderator: Lee Kaplan, the U.S. is stuck, isn’t it?
Kaplan: I think Ken O’Keefe needs to take his meds. This man isn’t a geo-political analyst. He is an ISM activist who runs around… He’s got a teardrop tattooed under his eye, which is representative of having killed somebody or serving time in prison. He is not anybody who Press TV should be promoting as an expert on the situation in Syria or anywhere in the Middle East…
Moderator: We don’t promote looks on Press TV, Lee Kaplan. We promote thought…
Kaplan: …unless, your intention is to put out conspiracy theories. Al-Qaeda did the attack on 9/11 in the United States, so don’t blame it on the Jews. It’s a like, and it’s nonsense. Nobody takes you seriously, except a propagandist in that part of the world.
Moderator: Okay, very well. Ken O Keefe, you have 30 seconds closing.
O’Keefe: Well, thankfully, this kind of rubbish won’t last much longer. We all know – those of us who have our eyes open – that Building 7 is a smoking gun. Those building did not come down from 19 hijackers – Muhammad Atta, supposedly the lead hijacker, who was snorting cocaine, going out with a stripper in Florida, and drinking alcohol before going out on jihad.
