Following are excerpts from a clip featuring residents of Homs mocking Bashar Al-Assad, which was posted on YouTube on June 24, 2011:

"Reporter": In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate. We are in Bayadha, in Homs. Following the reports about the presence of terrorists in Bayadha in Homs, we began to search for them. People, please direct us to the den of the terrorists. Now, we are about to find those terrorists. They won't notice that we are coming, and we will film them out of the blue.

Gotcha!

Come over here. Come. We got you. You are the terrorists who have been shooting the demonstrators down. Let's have a look at you. Let's have a look at you.

What weapons are you using?

"Terrorist A": A zucchini launcher.

"Reporter": A zucchini launcher? What about you?

"Terrorist B": A 0.5 okra machine-gun.

"Reporter": What's your weapon?

"Terrorist C: It's a Russian one.

"Reporter": Russian? It shoots okra as well?

"Terrorist C": Yes. Russian okra.

"Reporter": What about you?

"Terrorist D": An okra machine-gun.

[…]

"Reporter": You infiltrators, you germs… So these are the infiltrators and germs that Bashar Al-Assad was talking about. These are the terrorist gangs. What, you have grenades as well?

"Terrorist A": These are eggplant grenades, which we got at Tell Al-Shor.

"Reporter": Nice to meet you, you germs. I see you are using crutches as a machine-gun?

"Terrorist D": Yes. That's a present, a seasonal present.

Don't throw them, I want to cook them. What do you think about this?

"Reporter": My God, you will liberate the country with such okra.

"Terrorist D": Bashar Al-Assad has never seen such a thing in his life.

"Reporter": This launcher shoots zucchini, eggplant, and okra. These are the terrorist gangs Bashar Al-Assad was talking about in his speech?

"Terrorist C”: The germs…

"Reporter": Germs, sorry. First, they were scum, then they were gangs, then infiltrators, then terrorist gangs, then germs, and yesterday, Walid Mu'alem turned them into dogs.

[…]

Get nearer, don't be afraid.

Keep holding it, keep holding it.

[…]

This is the Homs cannon. This is an RPG. Made in Homs. It was made in Homs on June 24, 2011. In the Bab Hood neighborhood these modern missiles were made… They were made in Homs.

They were made in Homs. They are shooting caps.

Demonstrator: There is no god but Allah…

"Reporter": These are RPG grenades…

Demonstrators: There is no god but Allah, and Al-Assad is the enemy of Allah.
