Head of Iranian Supreme Leader Khamenei's Office Mohammad Golpayegani: Obama Is Begging to Meet Our President

In a statement delivered on November 30 and broadcast on IRINN, the Iranian news channel, Mohammad Golpayegani, head of the office of Iranian Supreme Leader Khamenei, said: "When you see the American president knocking on every door just to meet our president for a few minutes, this is no trivial matter."

Following are excerpts from an address delivered by head of Khamenei's office Mohammad Golpayegani, which aired on IRINN TV – Iranian News Channel, which aired on November 30, 2014:

Mohammad Golpayegani: When you see the American president knocking on every door just to meet our president for a few minutes, this is no trivial matter. Some people lurk in the U.N. corridor just to get the chance to shake [Obama's] hand, and he does not deign to do even that. Yet he sends mediators and goes to such efforts [in order to meet Rohani]… This demonstrates our strength.
