Terror in London (9) - Ayatollah Ahmad Jannati in Tehran Friday Sermon: The English Government May Have Caused the London Bombings Like the US Government May Have Caused 9/11

The following are excerpts from the Friday sermon at Tehran University by Guardian Council Secretary Ayatollah Ahmad Jannati, which aired on Iranian Channel 1 on July 15, 2005.

Jannati: The last issue I will discuss is the explosions in London. In my opinion, the Americans, Israelis, and Europeans should be ashamed, and their brow should be covered in sweat because they cannot find the answer to these events. They say one possibility is that it was Al-Qaeda. But Al-Qaeda means Bush and Blair. Who established Al-Qaeda? You are the ones who should be put on trial. You were the mother of Al-Qaeda. You are the ones who gave birth to this illegitimate child. Who are you complaining about? This is one possibility. The other possibility is that the English government itself caused this situation. This possibility was also raised regarding 9/11 - that the Americans themselves caused it. This is because they have the most to gain from these events. If we want to see who caused these events, we need to see who has the most to gain. In 9/11, the Americans had the most to gain. Here too, the Americans and the English are trying to rake in most of the profits.
