The following are excerpts from an interview with Iranian Intelligence Minister 'Ali Yunesi, which aired on Iranian Channel 2 on July 16, 2005.
Yunesi: The information the Americans have (on Iran's nuclear program) is the result of disinformation by the hypocrites (Mojahedin-e Khalq). It is amateur information provided to them by our double agents. These are not people we exposed a few months ago, but rather people who were exposed a few years ago. After we exposed them, they started providing the Americans with tendentious information so that we could keep them busy and fool them. This information caused them to insist from time to time that uranium enrichment is taking place here or there, and that the place is contaminated. They pressured the IAEA to inspect the place. We would oppose at first, but eventually, we would agree, and then they would go to the site and see that there was nothing there. After a while, the IAEA understood that the information the Americans have comes from unreliable sources, and the IAEA no longer deals with such information.
