Tehran-based Lebanese researcher Hakam Amhaz said on an October 15, 2023 show on Al-Ahd TV (Iraq) that the Palestinian resistance was fighting Israel with knives and slingshots before the Iranians supplied them with rockets, ballistic missiles, and UAVs. He added that even the tunnels, which protect the people of Gaza, were the "brainchild" of Qods Force commander Qasem Soleimani. Amhaz condemned the Arab countries for not providing the resistance with assistance like Iran did.
Hakam Amhaz: "Unfortunately, it is always asked why Iran does not attack or strike Israel or the U.S.? This is a very short-sighted perspective.

"Before the victory of [Iran's Islamic] Revolution, the Palestinian citizens and resistance fighters would fight using stones, knives, and slingshots. Today, they are fighting using rockets, ballistic missiles, UAVs, psychological warfare and technology. Ask the Palestinians about where they got all this from. It is from Iran. Iran has provided all this support. The resistance in Lebanon was victorious thanks to Iranian support. Doesn't this mean that Iran is in a direct war with Israel, the U.S., and their allies?
"The question is – what have the Arabs contributed? I will tell you what: They contributed long-range 'lying' missiles, and ballistic statements, denunciations, and communiques, and Unmanned 'expression of concern' Aerial Vehicles. This is what the Arabs contributed to the Palestinians. What else have they contributed? Only Iran has provided all this to the Palestinians, who are now fighting. The tunnels that are now protecting the people of Gaza and the fighters are the brainchild of the Iranian Qasem Soleimani."
