In an April 19, 2024 Al-Manar TV (Hizbullah-Lebanon) report about a North Gaza food market in Jabalia refugee camp in the northern Gaza Strip, a resident says that all food supplies are in the market now. He added that now they are only missing cash and cooking gas. Another resident said: "We feel great that we did not leave," and he expressed hope that the people who have left will return.

Reporter: "We are at the Jabalia refugee camp in the northern Gaza Strip. The markets that you will see in the Al-Manor report were not here a few days ago."

Man 1: "Allah be praised, we were under a suffocating siege. The siege was all-encompassing – trees, rocks, people, medicine, water…But by the decree of Allah, and due to the steadfastness of our people, and their ability to overcome the siege, we moved from eating mallow plants to seeing the light. All food supplies are in the market now. What is missing now is cash and cooking gas. We hope that Allah brings relief to this nation, just like he brought relief to Job. This nation is suffering but it is steadfast in the face of occupiers, who wanted to drive the people out."

Man 2: "Allah be praised, in the past week or two, the situation has greatly changed. At first, there was nothing. There was real hunger. Today, there are vegetables. There are canned goods. Things have improved greatly, and we hope they progress from good to better. I thought we were at our last moment, to tell you the truth. But thank God, we did not get to that point, and we did not leave."

Reporter: "How do you feel being in northern Gaza?"

Man 2: " We feel great that we did not leave. We hope that people who did leave come back."
