Senior Hamas Official Sami Abu Zuhri: We Will Purify Gaza, Return To Our Land; The Killing Of American Soldiers In Jordan Is A Clear Message And The U.S Had Better Understand It Before It Is Too Late

Sami Abu Zuhri, head of the political department of Hamas abroad said on a January 28, 2024 show on Al-Jazeera Network (Qatar) that Hamas will purify Gaza, and return to Jerusalem, their land. He added that the "criminal Zionists" must decide whether they want to continue the conflict and "pay the price" or to leave the Palestinian land and go back to "where they came from." He said that Hamas will continue the fight regardless of the price and that the recent Iran-backed militia attack on U.S. soldiers in Jordan was a "clear message" to the Americans and Israelis, adding that "they should grasp this message before it is too late."

Sami Abu Zuhri: "The occupation must choose between ending the fighting and its aggression, and receiving its prisoners in exchange for our Palestinian prisoners, and between continuing fighting, and getting its prisoners as corpses rather than alive.

"We are convinced that we will not only purify Gaza, but also return to Jerusalem. We will not go there as settlers, but return to our land. Those criminal Zionist need to realize that the time has come for them to answer the question whether they want to continue the conflict and pay the price, or leave our land and go back to where they came from.

"We will not relinquish our right to our land, our holy places, and our freedom.

"We will continue, regardless of the price, and what happened today outside Gaza and Palestine – the targeting of the U.S. soldiers [in Jordan] – is a clear message, and the governments of the U.S. and the occupation should understand this message, before it is too late."
