On March 19, 2019, a Syria-based fundraising group dedicated to supporting the mujahideen and the families of "martyred" fighters announced on Telegram that it had opened bank accounts in Syria. The group invited those interested in donating to contact its Telegram channel and two WhatsApp numbers.
