Hay'at Tahrir Al-Sham's (HTS) Ebaa' News Agency published an article warning of the security risks of taking "selfies," or photos of oneself, saying that each photo contains metadata that includes information such as the model of the phone used to take the photo as well as the location and time the photo was taken. The article also includes instructions on how to limit the spread of this information by deactivating certain settings on the phone and using an app called Photo Metadata Remover.
