Iran-Backed Group Of Iraqi Hackers Claims Widespread Cyberattack On Jordan's Official Government Portal Over 'Normalization' With Israel

On August 13, 2024, an Iran-backed group of Iraqi hackers claimed to have launched a cyberattack targeting several Jordanian government websites, causing widespread disruption. The group stated that the operation was based on the website's affiliation with Israel.

"A large cyberattack affected tens of government websites that normalize with the Zionist entity," said the hackers' post on Telegram. The hacking group posted a screenshot of a website after the hacking, along with a link to prove the attack was successful.
