On April 14, 2019, the Islamic State (ISIS) Nashir News Agency published a link on its numerous Telegram channels to an account on a new social media platform called Koonekti. This appears to be an attempt by the ISIS media apparatus to diversify the online platforms where it distributes its material. Similar attempts in the past have resulted in rapid bans and a return to Telegram, which to this day remains the main distribution platform for jihadi material, despite an observed increase in account shutdowns. Koonekti's homepage reads: "We ensure that your content becomes famous quickly. We never provide your information and we never track you."
