On September 18, 2019, a pro-Al-Qaeda media agency published an article on its Telegram channel stressing the importance of jihadi media and urging the mujahideen to acquire media knowledge and training in designing, directing, and scenario writing. In the article the author describes the media battlefield as a "crucial factor in attaining victory and empowerment." According to the writer, the media battlefield is "the voice of the mujahideen to the people which transmit their messages, da'wa [preaching, invitation], and news. It is what enrages the unbelievers and heals the chests of the believers. Without Allah and the media, we wouldn't have heard news of their raids and victories."
