On January 23, 2023, a user of the Rocket.Chat server run by the Islamic State (ISIS) published a post in English explaining the difference between variables and integers in the C programming language, listing examples.
The post followed the user's previous posts in which he identified as a developer and argued for the importance of programming knowledge in advancing ISIS's goals (see MEMRI Cyber Terrorism & Jihad Lab Reports Pro-ISIS Developer Recommends Programming Languages And Online Learning Tools and ISIS Supporters Should Learn Programming To Combat Infidels' Military Technology, Claims Pro-ISIS Developer, Offering To Help Those Who Wish To Learn). As in his previous posts, the user offered to assist other ISIS supporters who are learning to code, adding links to tutorials for C programming.
