Pro-ISIS Telegram Channel Advises Supporters On Promoting And Recruiting On Social Media

On February 22, 2022 an Islamic State (ISIS) supporter on Telegram published a post with advice on how to promote and recruit supporters for the organization using social media. The user counseled against relying on forums where jihadis of various affiliations debate each other, recommending instead that ISIS supporters should identify individuals who are seeking "the truth" and contact them privately with pro-ISIS content and videos. The user emphasized that arguing with other jihadis online is a waste of time, and that groups where such debates take place have been "infiltrated" by intelligence agencies, leading to the arrest of some participants.
