On May 15, 2019, a Telegram channel that shares news from the Syrian war shared a link to download the U.S.-based walkie-talkie encrypted chat application Zello. The channel said that a live operations room channel had been created on the app, and asked: "Would you like to hear the voice of the commanders of the operations room live?"
