On January 11, 2017, it was reported that the website of the Treasurer of the Australian state of Victoria, Tim Pallas, had been hacked by hackers Mr O.Jz, Hetler Tn and Fallag Kill3r of the Tunisian Fallaga Team hacking group to protest the killing of innocent people in Syria.
Fallaga Team defaced the website with a message that read "Stop killing people in Syria," along with the hashtags #Op_Russia and #save_aleppo. A message posted on the website included photos and videos of Syrian attacks, along with an embedded video showing armed men and women fighting in Syria, and accused Syrian forces and an allied Iraqi militia of "deliberately killing" men, women and children in eastern Aleppo.
Concurrent hacks were carried out by the same group on the websites of the Catholic Santa Maria College in Melbourne and Nunawading Christian College and Catholic College Bendigo, along with those of the Coffs Harbour Christian Community School and the training provider Future Academy Australia, as well as the Empyrean Educational Institute. Russian, Pakistani and Italian websites were also said to be compromised.
