On December 27, 2016, it was reported that the Kurdish hacktivist group Mezopotamia Hackers had hacked the website of the Turkish Chamber Of Commerce And Industry in the United Kingdom, leaving behind a defacement message in protest of the Roboski massacre of 2011 that led to the deaths of 34 Kurds in a Turkish airstrike. In a separate incident, another hacker called Kapustkiy managed to compromise the site and access personal information including full names, emails, phone numbers and street addresses of hundreds of people. Kapustkiy claimed that he was unable to reach the site's administrators and therefore leaked only part of the information that became available to him.
