Introduction
On December 21, 2024, an Australian neo-Nazi group staged a demonstration on the steps of the Victorian Parliament, marked by explicit antisemitic rhetoric from the protest's leader, a neo-Nazi livestreamer. This event featured banners and speeches targeting the Jewish community, accusing them of eroding democratic freedoms.
This report provides an overview of the demonstration, detailing its organization, key messages, and public response. It examines the role of social media in disseminating the group’s propaganda.

Social Media Reactions And Promotion Of Rally
On December 21, an Australian neo-Nazi organization posted a photo on its official Telegram channel showing members of the organization in front of the Victorian Parliament in East Melbourne holding a banner reading, "JEWS HATE FREEDOM." The organization wrote, "This week, the Victorian State Government announced that they would take away the protest rights exercised by the left and the right to placate the Jews. In turn, National Socialists demonstrated on the steps of the Victorian Parliament with a banner emblazoned with the slogan 'Jews Hate Freedom.'"
The post continued: "Everyone knows it's the Jews who are stealing our rights of expression and assembly. Even the Victorian State Premier herself admitted as much. Liberation will only come when we no longer have paranoid and vicious Jews wrecking liberal-democracy in order to protect their unpopular rule. Freedom for the White man! The Jews must go!"
In a video posted across various social media channels, members of the group can be seen lining up on the steps of the Victoria Parliament. The men unfurl a banner reading, "Jews Hate Freedom," while the leader delivers a speech. The protest’s leader states:
"The Jews have demanded that the Victorian government change laws to take away our freedoms to protest politically, and to expand so-called hate speech anti-vilification laws, to take away our rights to speak freely and criticize them. And this government, the Victorian government, Liberal and Labour - both parties - they're complicit in an agenda to take away your rights, my rights, all of our rights. Why does 0.4% of the Australian population, the Jews, get to dictate to the Victorian government what our freedoms should and should not be? I tell you why. Because of the money and the power that the Jews have over our political system. This country should not belong to the Jews, it should belong to the White Australian people who built it. This is an outrage.
"They said, because their synagogue got firebombed, that our political rights need to be taken from us. They probably bombed their own synagogue, but even if they didn't, it's irrelevant. The point remains, what does that have to do with our political freedoms? Nothing! The Jews hate freedom, and this government is complicit in their destruction of our freedoms. Why do Jews dictate to us what our laws are, what our freedoms are? We cannot stand for this, we have to take back control of our nations and reclaim our political freedoms before they are trashed forever."
The Victorian chapter of another neo-Nazi group, which overlaps in membership and leadership with the group involved in this protest, posted a video on Telegram on December 21 showing the protest. The chapter wrote: "FREEDOM FOR THE WHITE MAN - THE JEWS MUST GO."
In another December 21 post, an Australian neo-Nazi and leader of the group posted a photo showing members of his organization attending the rally in Victoria.
On Gab, another prominent Australian neo-Nazi posted a graphic on December 21 with a statement by the Victoria Police, stating: "Victoria Police's North West Metro Region Acting Superintendent Kelly Walker said identifying every one of the 20 men who stood on the steps of parliament dressed in black clothing, with their faces hidden, was the police's top priority." He wrote: "The demoralized and understaffed police force, who are currently begging the taxpayer to pay them more money, say that investigations into murders and rapes will be put on the back burner while they focus on persecuting White Australians for holding a political protest."
