The Alliance for Peace and Freedom (APF) was founded on February 4, 2015. Its main member parties were involved in the now defunct European National Front. Pan-European and ultranationalist, the APF aims to establish a network of movements across Europe that will cooperate to achieve ultranationalist and fascist goals. The party includes neo-Nazi elements.
The group’s President and Chairman is also the leader of an Italian fascist party. British ultranationalist former European parliament member Nick Griffin is the party’s deputy chairman. The chairman of a Belgian ultranationalist identitarian movement is the party’s treasurer. A Sweden-based white supremacist organization acts as its think tank.
The AFP is a non-attached member of the European Parliament, and does not belong to a recognized political group.
On Instagram, a French ultranationalist movement, headed by a pro-Russian and pan-European ultranationalist, shared (April 10) a photo of himself with other members of the APF.
The channel wrote: “Three days of meetings and work within the framework of the A.P.F. [...] in Italy. On the program: strengthening the structure of the Alliance; the European elections; defining the goals and role of the entity [...]; lectures by the various participants about global mutation and restructuration.”
These events were reportedly held in Italy near the medieval town of Orvieto [...] The post mentions that “representatives from Italy and France were present, of course, but also from England, Germany, Serbia and Spain.”
