Amid the wave of Palestinian terror attacks against Israeli civilians, the latest of which was the February 10, 2023 vehicular terror attack in Jerusalem, in which three Israelis were killed and four were wounded, the Palestinian Authority (PA) daily Al-Hayat Al-Jadida published a poem by Abu Muhammad Al-Haifawi encouraging the young Palestinians with "brave hearts" and "a will of iron" who take up arms against the Israeli occupation.[1]
The following is a translation of the poem, titled "Abu Muhammad":[2]
"Oh Abu Muhammad Al-Haifawi [i.e., from Haifa]
Where did you disappear to, old man?
I am right here, guys.
What I see is driving me crazy
A lot of worthless talk
I went to see the family [i.e., the Palestinians]
I met my grandchildren, who have grown big
What they say is even greater
They carry weapons and laurel leaves
Wherever you go [you encounter] a will of iron
Brave hearts of young people and children
Begone, occupier!
You are a rapist, oh traitor!"
