In an article that appeared in the fourteenth issue of Sada Al-Malahim, Al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula's (AQAP) e-journal, the group placed the UK "at the top of the list of countries targeted by the mujahideen." The article aimed at justifying a jihad campaign against the UK in general, and at justifying AQAP's attack on a convoy of the British ambassador to Yemen, which took place in Sana'a in April 2010, in particular. The article's author mentioned the July 7, 2005 bombings in London's transportation systems as an example of successful attacks carried out by Al-Qaeda on British soil. In addition, he praised young Muslims who had grown up in the UK and left its culture behind in order to join the ranks of jihad against it....
