On October 1, 2011, a member of the Shumoukh Al-Islam Jihadi forum posted a comic strip in which a child uses a booby-trapped toy car to destroy an enemy's military vehicle. The thread, titled "Stories Of a Martyr's Son," was posted by someone using the name "Qasf Al-Ru'ood." In the introduction, the member sets out the background story to his series, noting that it takes place in a blessed land that was invaded by the enemies of Islam, and the people of the land resisted and many of them were killed. One of the martyrs, he said, was a man who left four sons; the youngest of them, Qassem, is the hero of the first installment. ...
