The "Open Source Jihad" section of the sixth issue of Al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula's (AQAP) English-language magazine, Inspire, released July 19, 2011, offered illustrated guides in weapons use and bomb making.
The "Open Source Jihad" section included two parts: the final installment in the "Training with the AK" series and an illustrated guide for preparing acetone peroxide, a primary high explosive. In the latest installment of the "Training with the AK" series, writer Abu Saleh provides illustrations and explanations on various shooting positions. In conclusion, he expresses hope that the series has been helpful to the mujahideen and writes that the next installment of the Open Source Jihad will cover handguns. ...
