The host of a morning show aired on Iranian TV Channel 1 (Iran) on July 15, 2024, suggested that it is not far-fetched that the July 13 attempted assassination of former U.S. President Donald Trump was staged. He said that it would have been more "exciting" if the bullet had hit the target. However, the host echoed Hizbullah Secretary-General Hassan Nasrallah's statement’s following the American killing of IRGC Qods Force commander Qassem Soleimani, according to which "Trump’s head is not worthy of comparison to the shoes of Hajj Qassem Soleimani." He added that Trump must be kept alive in order to stand trial and pay for his "crimes, especially for the assassination of our dear martyr, Hajj Qassem Soleimani."

"There Are Many Speculations On Social Media That What Happened [To President Trump] Was Fake"
TV Host: "Former U.S. President Donald Trump is at the top of the news. There are many speculations on social media that what happened was fake. If you pay attention to this frame, you see that it is completely perfect. Claiming that this picture had been practiced before is not entirely far-fetched: It contains the U.S. flag – the symbol of power and heroism – as well as the fist pump... My videographer friends know this better, but the format of the videography is meant to convey dignity, authority, and glory of the subject of the picture.

"[Trump] Needs To Stay Alive And Pay For The Crimes He Committed, Especially For The Assassination Of Our Dear Martyr, Hajj Qassem Soleimani"
"As I said yesterday to you, dear viewers, if the bullet had hit a few centimeters this way, we would have witnessed a more exciting event. Today, I want to complete what I said. I remember what the leader of the resistance, Hassan Nasrallah, said after the martyrdom of Soleimani. He said that even Trump's head is not worthy of comparison to the shoes of Hajj Qassem Soleimani.
"That person needs to stay alive and be prosecuted, and pay the price for the crimes he committed, especially for the assassination of our dear martyr, Hajj Qassem Soleimani."
