On November 7, 2024, the Islamic State (ISIS) released Issue 469 of its weekly newsletter, Al-Naba', which featured an editorial titled: "Alas, Those Who Reject Allah Will Assuredly Never Prosper." It downplays the repercussions of President Trump's second term in office, arguing that the change of U.S. presidents and administration does not change "Crusader America's" tenets of war on Islam. It claims that Trump ended his first term in office with "failure" and "countless lies," saying that ISIS fighters are still in their state of jihad, regardless of the White House occupant.
Criticizing Region's Rulers' "Frantic" Reaction To Trump's Win
The editorial opens by mocking a prevalent political dramatization of President Trump's reelection and the changes about to take place, as if the world, it says, is under his absolute power: "They talk about him with a crazy, manic tendency, as if the affairs of all creation are in his own hands."
According to Al-Naba', a state of "frantic rush" has prevailed, as various parties started altering their paths and adapting policies in submission to the incoming taghut [un-Islamic ruler], including Qatar and its "protégé" the Afghan Taliban, offering obedience to Trump, and hoping for a new chapter in U.S.-Taliban relations. It also lashes out at the taghuts of Turkey, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Jordan, and other allies and partners for acting similarly.
"The Fear Of Trump Reflects A Profound Lack Of Faith And Appreciation Of Allah Almighty"
The resulting fear and desire reflect a profound lack of faith and appreciation of Allah Almighty, otherwise these parties would not have been ensnared, awed or terrified of Trump, the editorial continues. Instead of revering Allah, they revere a man of their peers. It notes that Trump would not move a limb without the permission of Allah, and that if Allah wills, He would have eliminated him just as He did to all predecessors that transgressed and rebelled against Allah's will.
"Today, Muslims are in dire need to contemplate and reflect on the stories of past [tyrants], who resemble or surpass Trump in nonbelief, evil, arrogance and conceit, so they may realize that the consequences of disbelief and arrogance are firmly established, just as are the consequences of faith and submission to Allah."
"So, say to Trump and his Administration you will be overcome. Tell Netanyahu and his army that you will be defeated and herded to Hell. Tell Khomeini and his flocks and Putin and his legions that you will be defeated and herded to Hell. This is the command of Allah Almighty, His judgment and His promise. So let, then - him who chooses - believe in it, and let him who chooses, reject it."
The editorial further contends that Muslims should embrace such attitude in faith, and rise above the nations of nonbelief and falsehood, noting that preachers of monotheism have the duty to instill these meanings in the souls of the common people.
"No Democracy Left For Trump To Expose"
The editorial continues to discuss the political significance of Trump's reelection domestically, countering the argument that Trump's return to power would expose the flaws in American democracy. It argues that there is no democracy left to be exposed, and that "it has never been secret in the first place?!" All democracies are the same, both in judgment and description, and the difference between Western and Eastern, U.S. or Israeli, democracies to approve some, is therefore approving an "absolute evil."
"Is Democracy and its worldly teachings of nonbelief not the cause of all evils of the world?" the editorial asks.
"The Issue Is Not Trump's Temperamental Personality And Business Approach; Rather, It Is The American Crusader Administration And Its Hostility Towards Islam"
Further, the editorial disapproves of the politicians' perspective that the problems are Trump's temperamental personality and business approach. Rather, the editorial states, the issue is the "American Crusader administration and its hostility towards Islam." The piece recalls that the "Deal of the Century" was a plan under Trump, and later became a "reality" during the Biden era, noting that people fail to realize that the transfer of power from one president to another, Republican or Democrat, from the right or left, does not change the U.S. tenets regarding the "war on Islam."
Also, on the popular level, Trump's reelection, despite his reputation and past history, "certainly reflects the reality of the Crusader American people, and the Christian peoples who support the war on Islam and vote for whoever drives further in this direction," says the piece.
Trump Returns To Office Carrying A Legacy Of Failure, And Countless Claims He Eliminated The Islamic State
Al-Naba' goes on to discuss the "position" of the Islamic State (ISIS) on the U.S. election, saying it remains unchanged as always, since the winner is undoubtedly a "non-believing Crusader" or "Jewish Crusader" who will not hesitate to wage war on Islam, "especially when it comes to the Islamic State."
It continues: "What Trump did during his first term in office, was carried on by his successor Biden. Their war against the mujahideen has never stopped. Therefore, the matter will not be different for a mujahid in his trench or stationed on a border. The enemy is the enemy, war is war, and jihad is jihad."
"It remains for us to remind Trump that he ended his first presidency claiming to eliminate the Islamic State, and here he is again carrying a legacy of failure and lies. He failed to stop the Islamic State's jihad, and lied in his claims of eliminating it to the point that he announced its defeat about 16 times in just 99 days!"
War Promises More Chapters And The Mujahideen Will "Prepare And Fight It, As It Should Be"
Foreseeing the situation during Trump's second term in office, the editorial claims that he returned to power while U.S. forces were still immersed in the war against the Islamic State, and U.S. aircraft and intelligence services fly back and forth between Iraq, Syria and elsewhere for fear of the mujahideen. The U.S. administration is unable to stop ISIS danger in the Khorasan region "despite the dedication of the 'Emirate [Afghan Taliban],'" and his allies and opponents alike are drowning in the jungles of ISIS's African wilayat [provinces]."
The editorial concludes by saying that the war against the U.S.-led coalition forces promises "chapters to come," and urges the group's mujahideen to "prepare and fight it, as it should be."
