On July 16, 2024, an article in the pro-Hizbullah Lebanese Al-Akhbar daily claimed that the regional "axis of resistance" has begun to operate as a military alliance confronting the alliance that supports Israel, led by the U.S. According to the daily, Hizbullah is waging a war of attrition with the aim of imposing on Israel "an equation of horror and deterrence, in advance of a large campaign," in which forces from Yemen, Iraq, and perhaps from Syria would participate.
On July 16, 2024, Al-Sahab, the media arm of Al-Qaeda Central Command, published part four of a 17-page essay.
Houthi Official Threatens Saudi Arabia: "War Is Imminent"
In early April 2024, the Central Bank of Yemen, based in Aden and aligned with the Riyadh-backed government, ordered Sanaa's banks – under Yemen's Iran-backed Ansar Allah movement (the Houthis) – to relocate their headquarters to Aden within 60 days, or face sanctions.
During the second week of July 2024, Yemen's Iran-backed Ansar Allah movement (the Houthis) claimed responsibility for six missile and drone attacks on a series of targets, among them – according to the Houthis – Israeli and American targets in the Arabian Sea, the Red Sea, the Bab Al-Mandab Strait, and the Gulf of Aden.
On July 14, 2024, an Israel Defense Forces (IDF) officer and another soldier were seriously wounded, and another two other soldiers moderately and lightly injured, in a car-ramming attack at the Nir Tzvi junction, near the Tzrifin military base outside the Israeli city of Ramla.
In a July 10, 2024 article, the chairman of the board of the pro-Hizbullah Lebanese daily Al-Akhbar posited that Israel has lost "the element of surprise" and along with it the ability to disable Hizbullah's "high-quality capabilities" at the start of a round of fighting.
In recent days, several Syrian pro-opposition media outlets reported that Iran-backed militias conducted military training in various areas in eastern Syria, particularly in the vicinity of Al-Bukamal. The following is a review of the reports.
On July 13, 2024, the Iran-backed Iraqi Hizbullah Brigades militia published a post on Telegram threatening to take revenge on Saudi Arabia for its alleged support of the "war against Palestinians" in Gaza.
On July 14 and 15, 2024, Telegram channels affiliated with Iran-backed militias in Iraq hinted that during the Islamic month of Muharram in the Hijri calendar year 1446, an escalation is expected in the military operations of the Shi'ite militias against Israel.

On July 13, 2024, a Telegram channel affiliated with the Iran-backed militias in Iraq and the rest of the region, published a poster tallying attacks "against the Zionist enemy and its allies" over the past week.
In the week of July 8-14, 2024, the Islamic Resistance in Iraq, an umbrella group of Iran-backed militias in Iraq, issued five statements claiming responsibility for five different attacks that targeted Israel's southern cities of Eilat and Ashdod, Haifa in the north, and Hadera, a city between Tel Aviv and Haifa.
On July 16, 2024, the Telegram channel affiliated with Iran-backed militias in Iraq reported that the Ain Al-Assad military base in Anbar, Iraq, had been targeted with two explosions.
On July 17, 2024, the Islamic Resistance in Iraq, an Iran-backed joint operation group of Iraqi militias, claimed responsibility for a drone attack on "a vital target" in Israel's southernmost city of Eilat.
On July 11, 2024, the Islamic State (ISIS) released Issue 451 of its weekly Al-Naba' newsletter. The issue featured an infographic detailing the group's most prominent operations of the previous Hijri calendar year, which ran from July 19, 2023 to July 7, 2024.

On July 9, 2024, the media arm of Al-Qaeda's affiliate in the African Sahel, Jama'at Nusrat Al-Islam Wal-Muslimeen ("the Group for Support of Islam and Muslims" – GSIM), released an infographic poster tallying attacks carried out by GSIM operatives in the Sahel region during the month of Dhu Al-Hijjah 1445, which corresponds to June 7 to July 7, 2024.

On July 15, 2024, Shahada News Agency, the official outlet of Al-Qaeda's affiliate in Somalia, Harakat Al-Shabab Al-Mujahideen (Al-Shabab) issued a statement about a suicide attack that the group carried out in the Somali capital, Mogadishu.
In recent days, Al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP) has escalated its attacks in Yemen, as part of its "Arrows of Truth," campaign against United Arab Emirates (UAE)-backed forces in the country.
Al-Qaeda Affiliate Al-Shabab Claims 27 Casualties In Counterattack In Central Somalia
The Shahada News Agency, the media arm of Al-Qaeda's affiliate in Somalia, Harakat Al-Shabab Al-Mujahideen (Al-Shabab), published on July 15, 2024, a statement giving a "preliminary tally" of 27 soldiers killed and 38 wounded in an Al-Shabab counterattack resisting an assault by Somali government militias on the outskirts of Ceeldheer, in Somalia's Galgudud province.
Al-Shabab Kills More Than 50 In Four Attacks Over 12 Hours
On July 10, 2024, Al-Qaeda's affiliate in Somalia, Al-Shabab, claimed responsibility for several operations resulting in more than 50 casualties.
On July 1, 2024, the Syrian branch of the Turkestan Islamic Party (TIP), a Uyghur jihadi group active in Afghanistan and northwestern Syria, released six photos of fighters in Syria attending a ceremony to honor Quran memorizers.
On July 16, 2024, a group of mujahideen from the Caucasus affiliated with Syrian jihadi group Hay'at Tahrir Al-Sham (HTS) released a photoset of fighters firing mortars and heavy machine gun-artillery at positions held by Syrian forces in northwestern Syria's Idlib-Aleppo region.
On July 15, 2024, an outlet linked to Syria-based jihadi group Hay'at Tahrir Al-Sham (HTS) published an article by a military commander in HTS's "Surveillance Detachments."
In a July 3, 2024 Pashtu-language article, Hizb-ut-Tahrir Afghanistan criticized an Afghan Taliban court's decision to keep the group's preachers in prison until they repent their calls for the establishment of a Caliphate.

On July 13, 2024, Hizb-ut-Tahrir – the global Islamist organization that seeks to foment rebellion in the armed forces of Islamic nations in order to establish a Caliphate – published a statement on the elections in America and the UK, arguing that Palestine cannot become an independent state through democratic processes.
In a series of recent posts on Facebook, Hizb-ut-Tahrir Pakistan has urged people in Pakistan to influence their family members in the Pakistani armed forces to mobilize soldiers for Gaza. Hizb-ut-Tahrir is known to advocate a strategy of fomenting rebellion in the armed forces of Islamic countries in order to re-establish the Islamic Caliphate.
In the latest issue of its Urdu-language magazine "Taliban," Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) criticizes Pakistan Army's proposed counter-terror Operation Azm-e-Istehkam and says that Pakistani military leaders cannot be expected to meet the people's expectations of military support to the Palestinians against Israel.
