On May 16, 2021, the Al-Qaeda-affiliated Gaza-based jihadi group Jaysh Al-Ummah Fi Bayt Al-Maqdis ("The Ummah Army In Jerusalem") released two statements claiming responsibility for a rocket attack on an Israeli settlement and celebrating the car-ramming attack in Jerusalem, urging Palestinians to wage jihad against Israel, and "revive the glory of martyrdom operations."

On May 16, 2021, The Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades in the West Bank, the military wing of the Palestinian Fatah movement, issued a statement instructing its fighters to answer its call for general mobilization, known as "Al-Nafir," to defend Jerusalem, the 1948 territories, and the Gaza Strip, which it said are under intense Israeli bombardment.

On May 16, 2021, a Telegram channel affiliated with Iran-backed militias in Iraq shared a video featuring a commander in the Iran-backed Popular Mobilization Units (PMU), saying that Iraqi Shi'ite fighters had been deployed to help Palestinians in their ongoing fight against the Israelis.

Hamas Military Wing Introduces 'Locally-Manufactured' Drone For Intelligence Gathering

On May 19, 2021, Syrian jihadi group Hay'at Tahrir Al-Sham (HTS) released a video featuring its leader, Abu Muhammad Al-Joulani, meeting with four commanders of the group's military wing.
