In a December 18, 2023 article on the Saudi website Elaph titled "Israelis, Let's Work Together," Palestinian writer Majdi Abd Al-Wahhab called on Israelis to work with the Palestinians to replace the Palestinian Authority (PA) with a new governmental body that will prioritize development, construction and education and allow both peoples to live in peace and stability. He stated that the Palestinians agree with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu that the PA is a disaster, because it has "set them back many decades" in the fields of economy, society, education, healthcare and development, contributed to the spread of corruption and caused stagnation and regression. As long as the PA and its members are in charge, he said, the Israelis will have no security and the Palestinians will have no life, so it is essential to "bury" the PA as quickly as possible so that its dead body does not putrefy and spread diseases.

The following are translated excerpts from his article: [1]
"The PA is a disaster. So said [Israel's Prime Minister] Benjamin Netanyahu, following [Hamas’] Operation Al-Aqsa Flood and the ensuing war in Gaza that destroyed everything. These words, which came after the Israeli prime minister absorbed the disasters of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, may paradoxically reflect a rare agreement between the Palestinian public and Netanyahu.
“Netanyahu said that the Oslo Accords are a disaster, which means that the PA is a disaster due to the catastrophic results that its plan brought about for Israel, among them the development of Hamas and the growth of its power, which in his view caused the devastation that was wreaked on Israel.
"The Palestinians agree with him that the PA inflicted destruction upon the Palestinians, which we can clearly see in the Gaza Strip. I am not referring to the political aspect, which will continue to be disputed among the Palestinians themselves and also between the Palestinians and the Israelis. History will eventually tell whether the PA plan served Israel or caused it damage.
"All the Palestinians, except for a handful, no doubt believe that the PA is a disaster, for it has set them back decades in various fields: in the economic, social, educational, and healthcare [fields] and in terms of their level of development. Furthermore, it contributed to the spread of corruption in all these spheres. Soon after its establishment the PA led the Palestinians to stagnation and deterioration, and this is a plague with no cure, other than the departure of the PA, its members and its lackeys.
"If we and Netanyahu agree that the PA is a disaster, the question arises: When will those who cultivated this authority, established the foundation of its government, supplied it with weapons, granted it power and strengthened its standing declare its death and bring it to burial?...
"Oh Israelis, let us work together to establish an entity or an authority, or whatever you wish to call it, and let us agree that construction, development, life, welfare, education and healthcare should be the mainstay and the basis and that they will lead to stability. Let us build this entity together, which will put the individual in first place, for only then will Israelis and Palestinians achieve what they wish for and be able to live in peace and security. As long as the 'disaster' [i.e. the PA] and its members exist, you will not have security and we will not have life. The PA, [which is the] disaster, will not achieve anything in the West Bank or Gaza, and will not bring you security because it has become a thing of the past. The Muslim religion and the Jewish religion agree that the way to respect the dead is to bring them to burial, so take [the PA] and bury it, to keep it from stinking and spreading plagues and diseases – for in a case like this, no treatment will help."
