The April 3, 2022 issue of the Palestinian Authority (PA) daily Al-Hayat Al-Jadida featured, on its back page, an anti-American poem titled "America – A Biography of Defeats." The poem mocks what it calls America's defeats in Korea, Vietnam, Afghanistan, Lebanon, Syria and Ukraine, and states that the Americans have become a laughingstock among the countries of the world.
The following is a translation of the poem:[1]

"They went to Korea
"Went to Vietnam
"And after the defeat
"Another defeat
"And a new failure in Afghanistan.
"And after sustaining a blow in Lebanon
"Came Syria
"And Ukraine.
"They have become a laughingstock among the countries.
"O time,
"bear witness."
