Osama Hamdan, a member of the Hamas political bureau said in an episode of SamaQuds podcast, which was posted on YouTube on October 11, 2024 that he doesn’t think Israel will exist on the map of the region in 10 years. He added that the people who launched the October 7, 2023 Al-Aqsa Flood will be praised then, for starting the end of Israel. He claimed that Hamas doesn't attack civilian targets like cinemas and that the bus bombings mainly targeted soldiers.

The people who are sacrificed are accepted by Allah [as martyrs], and their reward is great, and the reward in this world is achieving the victory. Hamdan: "Look, we have said that we are willing to accept the international definition of a 'civilian'. As far as I am concerned, any occupier is an occupier. Even if he is wearing a suit and tie, he is still an occupier. What has brought him to Palestine?
"Nevertheless, we have said that we are willing to accept the international definition of 'civilian'. What is the international definition of a 'civilian'? A person who is unarmed, does not fight, does not kill, and does not attack."

Hamdan: "This is the international definition. I am fine with this definition. If we had chosen our target according to the criminal mentality of the occupation...
