On February 3, 2024, Dmitry Medvedev, who was previously president and later prime minister of Russia, and has since 2020 ben deputy chairman of the Security Council of Russia, wrote a post on Telegram, titled "Reconsidering The Non-Systemic Opposition," suggesting that Russia should stand behind non-systemic opposition in the West.

Below is Medvedev's post:[1]
"The Western World Has Long Been Patronizing And Financially Supporting Our So-Called Non-Systemic Opposition"
"As you know, the Western world has long been patronizing and financially supporting our so-called non-systemic opposition in every possible way. For example, the bastard extremist Navalny and his comrades, and the whole motley mob of glamorous oppositionists, who have scattered over the past decades like plague-ridden rats to Western countries and shit on any occasion.
"These include outright freaks like the schizoid ex-chess player [Garry] Kasparov, who belongs in a psychiatric clinic. There is also the [Mikhail] Khodorkovsky's gang that has matured over the years of criminal activity, which consists of natural born thieves and murderers, and is organizing meetings of oppositionists of all stripes with the money stolen in Russia. And a new, very young generation of various freaks, who put on the uniform of Khokhlonazis[2] to organize terrorist attacks and sabotage in Russia. Their intellectual servants are among the scoundrels from literary circles, who deserve the ice axe of a new Ramón Mercader."[3]
"The Vices Of The Current Liberal Globalism And The Pindostan-Centric World Order"
"Why did I bring up our 'non-systemists' with all their disgusting wretchedness?
"Here's why. There is a non-systemic opposition in the West as well. True, it is not wretched and venal, but much more reasonable and decent. It does not wish for the death of its Fatherland, like the fugitive Russian renegades, but sees a new way of its development. It is diverse: both left and right. Each one with its own national program that opposes American globalism. It exists in every EU country and even across the ocean. There is already such opposition in national parliaments and in the European Parliament, where elections will be held soon.
"Undoubtedly, the new politicians are much more adequate and motivated than the fat cats from traditional Western parties. This, still irregular, opposition today clearly sees all the vices of the current liberal globalism and the Pindostan-centric[4] world order. And our task is to support such politicians and their parties in the West in every possible way, helping them apertum et secretum [openly and secretly] to achieve decent results in the elections. Some of them will turn from non-systemic oppositionists into a new part of the political establishment. Their accession to state governance can radically improve the political landscape in the Western world. That is why they scare so much the smartass intellectual castrati leading the old political forces in Europe and across the ocean, as well as the sexless rainbow wimps who are now at the helm of many Western countries.
"And it is not without reason that they are afraid. After all, Laozi said: 'The soft overcomes the hard; and the weak the strong.'"
