Abdullah Al-Na’ami of the Houthi Ansar Allah political bureau issued in a January 5, 2025 appearance on Iran’s Arabic-language TV channel Al-Alam TV a warning against Saudi Arabia and the UAE against joining the Americans in an attack against Yemen. He said that the U.S. is far away, so the Houthis cannot target it directly, but the KSA and UAE will suffer the brunt of such an attack and turn into a battlefield.
Abdullah Al-Na’ami: "As I told you, we issued a warning to Saudi Arabia, the UAE, and others not to join, or be dragged to join the Americans, because it is those two countries that will be harmed, first and foremost. The U.S. is not our immediate neighbor, so we cannot take revenge on it directly, and we cannot [hit] military targets in the U.S. itself. The KSA and the UAE will turn into a battlefield. The oil wells and infrastructure, electric grids, and desalination plants in the KSA will become legitimate targets.
"Do not forget – and the KSA knows this well – that when the U.S. keeps promising the KSA to help it with massive defense systems... If the U.S. were able to help the KSA with powerful defense systems that can protect it against the Yemeni missiles, then it would have given them to Israel from day one.
"Therefore, the KSA knows full well – and I hope it keeps this in mind – that if it once again initiates any kind of aggression, it will turn into a battlefield. We will not leave anything intact there. Muhammad Bin Salman should know that he will be the loser, and if he commits this foolish act, he will regret it very much. The same is true for the UAE. It must know that it is like a jar of glass."
