Al-Jazeera TV Host Ali Al-Zafiri, a Saudi national, mocked Arab rulers who refrain from supporting Hamas. During his show, aired on July 21, 2014, Al-Zafiri cynically asked to "apologize" for the pain Hamas causes those Arab rulers by killing Israeli soldiers.

"By the way, we would like to apologize for the pain caused by the 'terrorist' Hamas, the 'terrorist' Islamic Jihad, and all the 'terrorist' factions of the resistance… We apologize for the great pain they caused – not only to Israel, but also to some of our Arab brothers, by killing Israeli soldiers, capturing Israeli soldiers, and by launching missiles that have reached Tel Aviv. We must apologize to those brothers who have suffered as a result of these 'atrocities,' committed by the Palestinian 'terrorist' resistance factions against Israel."
