Al-Jazeera TV Host Faisal Al-Qassem Incites to Ethnic Cleansing of Shi'ites in Sunni Regions in Syria

Al-Jazeera TV host Faisal Al-Qassem, interviewing the general coordinator of the Syrian opposition factions, Abd Al-Munim Zain Al-Din, asked him why they were not fighting in Shi'ite regions. "You want to liberate Syria? Go to the coast!... Go to Damascus! Go to other regions that support Bashar Al-Assad! And may these regions be damned, as they say!" Referring to Nubl and Al-Zahraa, two Shiite towns in the Aleppo governorate of Syria, he asked: "Why don't you drive them out, just like they did to you, may they be damned?" The program aired on September 13.

Faisal Al-Qassem: Let me ask you something. You are always whining about the Sunni regions. That is your problem. Why do you limit all your battles with the regime to the Sunni regions? What are you doing about Damascus? Or about the Alawites on the coast? Or about all the regions that support the regime? That is your problem. You have destroyed all the regions where you fight. You want to liberate Syria? Go to the coast! That's what the Syrians are saying. Go to Damascus! Go to other regions that support Bashar Al-Assad! And may these regions be damned, as they say! What have you done for us?

Abd Al-Munim Zain Al-Din General Coordinator between Syrian Opposition Factions: These regions are not protected by Iran and Russia alone. Even the US had to intervene with their airplanes to protect them, because the criminal regime cannot hold out - so much so that it had to sign an agreement with Russia, although even Russia cannot protect it. But brother, why are you blaming the regime?

Faisal Al-Qassem: Let me ask you about Nubl and Al-Zahraa, Shiite colonies in the heart of a Sunni region, together with Kafraya and Fua. They are still there, in the middle of your region. Why don't you drive them out, just like they did to you, and to hell with them all?

Abd Al-Munim Zain Al-Din: The children of Madaya and Zabadani are the only reason we are leaving those criminals alone.

Faisal Al-Qassem: Sir, in war there are no sentiments. They drove you out of all your regions, and you go and fight in Aleppo and Daraya? Go to the coast!

Abd Al-Munim Zain Al-Din: Allah willing, we will go to the coast and other regions. We won't leave them alone. The time will come for us to go to the coast and to Damascus. We won't leave a single region. We will liberate them all, Allah willing.
