In a Friday sermon, delivered at the Grand Mosque in Mecca, Imam Abdul-Rahman Al-Sudais listed various examples of Muhammad treating Jews well. He said that “when the language of human dialogue is ignored […] the language of violence, exclusion, and hatred prevails.” At the end of the sermon, Al-Sudais prayed that Allah give strength to Islam and the Muslims, destroy the enemies of Islam, and save the Al-Aqsa Mosque. The sermon was aired on Quran TV Saudi Arabia) on September 4, 2020. For more from Abdul-Rahman Al-Sudais, see MEMRITV clips no 26 and 765.
Following are excerpts:
Imam Abdul-Rahman Al-Sudais: The Prophet Muhammad performed the ablution using water that came from the waterskin of a polytheist woman. When he died, his shield was mortgaged to a Jew. He split the seeds and dates of the Jews of Khaybar with them. He treated his Jewish neighbor well, which led to his conversion to Islam. There are many examples showing that the facts of Islam must be drawn from reliable testimony and clear evidence. When the method of human dialogue is ignored, aspects of the clash of civilizations are being nurtured, and the language of violence, exclusion, and hatred prevails. Oh Allah, give strength to Islam and the Muslims, humiliate polytheism and the polytheists, and destroy the enemies of Islam. Oh Allah, save the Al-Aqsa Mosque. Oh Allah, make it stand tall and glorious until the Day of Judgment.
