Ali Al-Yasiri, the Secretary-General of the Iraqi Shiite militia Saraya Al-Khorasani, said in a May 2, 2020 interview on Albaeenah TV (Iraq) that Saraya Al-Khorasani relied upon Iran and its support in their fight against ISIS. He said that Iran supported the Iraqi militias with weapons and manpower, and that the presence in Iraq of IRGC soldiers and IRGC General Qasem Soleimani, who was killed in a U.S. airstrike in January 2020, changed the "battle landscape" in Iraq. Al-Yasiri also said that Iran's similar actions in Yemen, Bahrain, Lebanon, and Syria have played a major role in defending the Islamic nation and the Arab world against Israel. In addition, he claimed that ISIS was brought to the region by the U.S. and the Zionists with the help of the Saud clan and that ISIS members receive medical treatment in Tel Aviv.
Ali Al-Yasiri: "In our battle to drive away the terrorist gangs of ISIS, we relied upon a real force - the Islamic Republic. The [Iranians] were with us, fought with us, and supported Iraq with weapons. The Americans had completely emptied Iraq's arsenals. They thought that there was nobody else who would support Iraq, but the wonderful presence of the Islamic Republic, their extensive aid, and the presence of the martyr [Qasem] Soleimani and his brothers from the Guards of the blessed Islamic Revolution... Their presence in the ranks of the mujahideen completely changed the battle landscape. You can see the same thing in Yemen, Bahrain, Lebanon, and Syria. It remains steadfast, and it still plays a wonderful role in defending the Islamic nation and the Arab world against Israel. ISIS, of course... Even their wounded receive medical treatment in Tel Aviv. Everybody knows that ISIS are people who distort the facts. The Zionists and the Americans have brought them. Unfortunately, they did this with the help of the Zionist lackeys, the Salul [Saud] clan."
