Al-Aqsa Mosque Address by Sheikh Issam Amira: An Islamic State Would Have Political Strategy of Jihad to Convert Infidels to Islam; They Will Be Fought Against If They Don't Convert

Palestinian cleric Sheikh Issam Amira said in an address he delivered at the Al-Aqsa Mosque that an Islamic state would have a strategy that would consist of politicians and a powerful media apparatus for the purposes of "persuading infidels to embrace Islam." Sheikh Amira said that the first step would be to "soften" the infidels by calling them to Islam through the Internet, television, propaganda, and media and to show them how to implement Islam until they are "convinced." The second stage, Amira said, would be to send "seasoned politicians" and Islamic scholars to have "long discussions" with the infidels. Amira then said that if the infidels are "bullheaded" and "constitute a valuable prize," then the Caliph would give the "code word"  – which Amira said would be "seek Allah's help and fight them" – and the Islamic armies would set out with missiles and fighter jets in order to turn the stubborn infidels into a "lesson for the entire world." Sheikh Issam Amira: The Islamic state would have a strategy of spreading the call to Islam [da'wa] by means of Jihad for the sake of Allah. It would have very powerful media and politicians who would spread da'wa, and they would be able to persuade the infidels to embrace Islam. When you say that the Islamic state would spread Islamic da'wa by means of Jihad for the sake of Allah, the world things that Jihad means fighting. No! Fighting is only the third stage in the Jihad for the spreading of Islamic da'wa. When you face polytheist enemies, you should give them three options. First, call them to accept Islam. This stage could take five years – Internet, TV channels, messengers, media, propaganda, and so on… We should persuade them by showing them how to implement Islam, until they are convinced that it is best to implement Islam. We should "soften" them through da'wa. After that, we can send them seasoned politicians to talk to them. We should not say "convert to Islam and you will be saved" right from the start… They could have long discussions with them. They would be Islamic legal and religious scholars, and would be able to persuade… Then, if we see that they are bullheaded – and if they constitute a valuable prize – we would make on phone call to the Caliph, who is the one calling the shots, and he would say: "Seek Allah's help and fight them! Do it!" The code word would be "Seek Allah's help and fight them!" Then the [Islamic] armies would set out, and missiles and fighter jets would be launched, and we would turn these people into a lesson for the entire world!
