Canadian imam Younus Kathrada spoke about the situation in Gaza in his February 26 and March 1, 2024 Friday sermons at Dar Al-Ihsan Islamic Center in Victoria, BC. He said that the Zionist Jews had "horrible predecessors," but today they are worse than their predecessors whom Allah has cursed and made some of them into apes and pigs. Kathrada continued to say that the "propaganda machine, which speaks for the Zionists" wants to silence criticism, but he doesn't care because they are less than nothing, they are "vermin." He added that the people of Gaza are giving their life for their religion, and he too is "more than willing" to give his life for his religion. Kathrada said that on October 7, the "battalions of the resistance" delivered a humiliation to the Zionists the "likes of which has not been seen" since the medieval battle against the Jewish oasis of Khaybar. The sermons were posted on the YouTube channel of Muslim Youth of Victoria.
Younus Kathrada: "Look at Gaza today, and you will know clearly that the Zionist Jews had horrible predecessors. Today, they are even worse than their predecessors – those about whom Allah said [in the Quran] what means: 'They are those whom Allah has cursed, and with whom He became angry.'
