Imam Abdul Alim Musa, the director of Masjid Al-Islam Washington, D.C., said in a Friday sermon that was posted on As-Sabiqun DC on YouTube on February 25, 2022 that the Russian invasion of Ukraine was justified because the Russians are fighting Nazis in Ukraine. He explained that while only "two or three" American soldiers were killed by the Germans in WWII, 28 million Russians were killed by the Germans, and therefore their invasion to fight the growing "Nazi party" in Ukraine is justified.
Musa also said that Western claims that there is a genocide against Muslims in China are "not true" and that in fact, he claimed that Muslims are permitted to have as many children as they like. He further said that Taiwan belongs to China and that the Taiwanese are not the "good guys" because they are "with the Americans." Abdul Alim Musa: "They will confuse you on the radio and on the Western news — they are professional, unrepentant liars. They tell you half the truth.
"They won't tell you that the reason that Russia has to go into Ukraine is because, number one, the Nazi party is getting big there. It was but [only] two or three Americans killed by Germans, but it was 28 million Russians killed by them — do you see what I'm trying to say?
"So when you are going to come up right next door, and say we are going to give aid and comfort to the Nazi party. And they are going to be running around with Nazi flags and everything right next door to you. And the U.S. wants you to fight them, so they could put missiles right next door to you. So you see what I mean?
"Well, if the U.S. doesn't like anybody putting missiles next to them, why would they have it out with Russia? Ever heard of the Cuban Missile Crisis?

"Who rescued Syria? The Russians, with all their missiles.

"Did you hear how they talk about how they treat the Muslims in China? How 'bad' they are treating them?
"Well, why aren't any of the Muslims saying anything about it? Because it isn't true.

"Everybody knows that the West is lying about a genocide and all that. Well, guess what, the Chinese are still under these laws, [according to which] you can only have one baby — now they might be spreading out — but in those Muslim areas, they can have as many children as they want.

"In today's world there is a new alliance. Let me describe who the good guys are — it is not the Taiwanese. The Taiwanese are with the Americans. Taiwan belongs to China."
