Egyptian-American Political Analyst Magdi Khalil: China Has Contributed Nothing to Human Civilization, Cannot Replace the West; The World Would Be in Chaos without the United States

On April 14, 2020, Egyptian-American political analyst Magdi Khalil appeared on Al-Jazeera Network (Qatar). He said that Middle Eastern "ideologues" have been heralding the decline of the U.S. and the West for decades. He also said that these ideologues act with no brains or conscience by talking about the fall of the U.S. and the rise of China, adding that there is no way China could become an alternative to the West. He argued that the West is the greatest civilization in history and that it has been responsible for every great advancement in the past 500 years, whereas China has contributed nothing. He referred to the United States as the leader of the free world and as an "empire of democracy," and he added: "The world would be in total chaos without America."

Magdi Khalil: "In the past 25 years, since 1996, in over 300 episodes of your show, the ideologues of the Middle East have been heralding the destruction of the U.S., the fall of American, and the decline of the West. They have been (spreading) conspiracy theories about American... It's all about America. The ideologues in the Middle East act without brains or conscience, and they say things that completely contradict reality, in order to gain support for their vision of the collapse of the West and America. Your own show has been documenting this for the past 25 years. They have been talking like this for the past 100 years. Since the Bolshevik Revolution in 1917, we have encountered people talking about the end of American and the West. Every time... On 9/11, in 2008, in 1928, in 1917... Each and every time, they say that American will fall and that China is on the rise.
