An elderly woman from Ramallah, who was introduced only as "Umm Muhammad," told Palestine TV on March 15, 2024 that she wants to wage Jihad for the sake of Allah and to defend the Al-Aqsa Mosque. She called on all Palestinians to come to the crossings into Israel and attempt to enter the mosque. Umm Muhammad said: "We want Paradise. We want to die as martyrs." She added that she offers herself for martyrdom.
Woman: "I offer myself to Al-Aqsa Mosque. I am a ribat activist. I was shot at multiple times. I could have been martyred multiple times. But Allah still wants to keep me alive. I still want to see…I still want to wage Jihad and fight for the sake of Allah. I want to defend Al-Aqsa Mosque."
Reporter: "May Allah give you health and strength. Please deliver a message to all the people so that they keep trying to come here."
Woman:"I call upon all the Palestinians – young and old – not to despair and to try to come here. We will keep coming to the crossings wherever we can. If we can enter the Al-Aqsa Mosque, we will do so, even if we have to be smuggled in from the mountains. We want to enter the Al-Aqsa Mosque. They will not prevent us.

"Allah told us to wage Jihad, fight with our money. [The Quran says]: 'Allah has purchased from the believers their lives and their properties, [and in exchange] for that they will have Paradise.' And we want Paradise. We want to die as martyrs. I offer myself for martyrdom. I want to die as a martyr."
Reporter: "May Allah give you health, and may the Al-Aqsa Mosque remain standing. We will pray side by side, inshallah. Thank you very much, Umm Muhammad from Ramallah."
