During a November 5, 2023 live broadcast on Al-Jazeera Network (Qatar) from Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in Deir Al-Balah, Gaza Strip, an elderly wounded man criticized Hamas for hiding among the civilian population. He said: “They can go to Hell and hide there...” when Al-Jazeera reporter Ashraf Abu Amr cut him off, the man, in turn, kicked Abu Amr.

Reporter: "The Israeli army is telling people to go south of Wadi Gaza..."

Man: "Yes, yes."

Reporter: "But you were surprised by this bombing..."

Man: "Yes. It was not one house that was bombed. An entire compound was erased. Over 15 or 20 houses. Is this a humane act? No, this is a criminal act. As for the resistance – they come and hide among the people. Why are they hiding among the people? They can go to Hell, and hide there..."

Reporter: "These are testimonies by the citizens. Because of the massive Israeli bombing on this area, an entire residential compound [was destroyed], like the eyewitnesses said. More than 15 homes were completely destroyed."
