Former Lebanese Minister of the Interior Marwan Charbel said in a January 8, 2024 interview that aired on NBN TV (Lebanon) that the Palestinians should return to their land and the Jews should return to the lands they came from. He said that the Jews control the world “economically” and that the one-dollar bill always had a Star of David on it. Charbel further said that war with Israel would be "very painful” for Lebanon and its people, but in such a case, Israeli strategic targets like the Karish gas filed, the Dimona nuclear reactor and Israeli airports would all be attacked.
Marwan Charbel: "I liked what a certain Emirati officer said. He said: We should not seek the two-state solution, but a solution of two returns."
Host: "Two returns. Nice..."
Marwan Charbel: "The return of the Palestinians to their land. It's their land, not yours."
Host: "Of course."
Marwan Charbel: "And the return of the Jews to the countries they came from. There isn't a single [Israeli] Jew today without dual citizenship."
Host: "True."
Marwan Charbel: "So they should go back there. They should go back to the economic global powers with all their luxury, to wherever they want."

Host: "Today, there is genocide. This is not your ordinary war."
Marwan Charbel: "The Jews control the world economically – from America and onward. They control the world. Take a look at the one-dollar bill. From when this one-dollar bill was first made, it had a Star of David on it."
Host: "The dollar?"
Marwan Charbel: "Yes, the one-dollar bill. Not the two or three-dollar bills. The one. They economically control the world and everybody is terrified."

Host: "Israel is making threats every day. It's not a problem. Let it make threats. Let me tell you. A [war] would be very painful for Lebanon and the Lebanese, but can Israel stand it if the Karish gas field and all of its oil and gas sources are attacked? They are all part of the 'bank of the targets.' The Dimona nuclear reactor and their airports would be attacked. They threaten us, like with the messages screened at Beirut airport? Why? Are your airports not under threat? They are."
