Basem Naim: "Dear organisers and attendees of the resistance festival in Brussels, Belgium, let me begin by saluting each and every one of you participating in this important event in its second year. It is needless to say how important it is for us to celebrate the Palestinian people's resistance on all fronts, including cultural and artistic fronts, and express the commitment to the Palestinian people's resistance after 76 years of ongoing Nakba.
"We want to salute the comrades in Samidoun Palestinian Prisoner Solidarity Network who have been on the forefront in the fight for our prisoners against Zionism and colonialism. Today, let us be very clear: the commitment of our resistance to the liberation of our political prisoners is unshakable. It is a commitment of words and deeds, of sweat and blood.
"The sacrifices of our people in Gaza will not go in vain. The genocide against our people will end sooner or later, no matter how long the fascist government of Netanyahu tries to prolong it. And we will all, one day, celebrate the victory of our people in a free Palestine, from the River to the Sea.
"For those attending this festival coming from all different backgrounds, Muslims, Christians, Jews, and others, socialists, communists, nationalists – who come together for the Palestinian people and our resistance. Please accept our warm regards. We only wish we could be able to be there with you, face to face, in person.
"Thank you again for hosting this very important event in Belgium, for raising high the Palestinian flags and the Palestinian voice. You are part of the liberation movement not only of our people and our land, but of the people of the world everywhere. I wish you a successful festival, and may God bless you all. Ling live international solidarity. Long live free Palestine. Free, free Palestine, from the River to the Sea. May the peace, mercy, and blessings of God be upon you."
