During a January 31 ceremony commemorating seven members who had been killed in the collapse of a tunnel they were digging, Hamas’s Izz Al-Din Al-Qassam Brigades paraded a “locally-made tank.” The Brigades’ spokesman, Abu Obeida, then descended from the tank to deliver his speech. The ceremony was aired by Hamas's Al-Aqsa TV.
Man #1: "The Tufah neighborhood (in Gaza) has a long story with enemy tanks, and therefore, we are preparing ourselves for the day we shall meet those tanks. Let the locally-produced vehicle move forward. These are the mujahideen of (Izz Al-Din Al-Qassam) Brigades. They are led - in this ceremony's surprising (highlight) - by the masked Abu Obeida, who came here... These are the tanks that were trampled upon by the mujahideen in the 2014 war, during the (2014) Eaten Straw war. Let the masked man tell us the story of the gun, the story of the martyrs. We welcome the red-keffiyeh man, the spokesman for the Brigades, the mujahid, Abu Obeida.
Man #2: "As we welcome the man masked with a keffiyeh, let us point our index finger towards Heaven, and renew our pledge of allegiance to Allah and to the commanders of the Izz Al-Din Al-Qassam Brigades, and vow to continue on the path of Jihad and resistance. Let us say: 'What is our goal? What is our goal?'"
