Hamas official and political analyst Talal Nassar said that he believes Palestinians would vote for "those who brought us power, resistance, honor, and pride" in the upcoming general elections. He made these remarks on a show that aired on the Arabic language channel 9 (Turkey) on February 8. Nassar said that Palestinians would vote for those who espouse the whole of Palestine, from the Jordan River to the Mediterranean Sea, those who uphold the blood of the martyrs, those who granted Palestinians victory and "trampled the Zionists' heads underfoot," who developed rockets, sacrificed their leaders and children. He said that Palestinians would vote for the option of female suicide bombers Hanadai Jaradat and Rim Al Riyashi and Hamas leaders killed by Israel Sheikh Nizar Rayan and Sheikh Ahmad Yassin4. Talal Nassar: "The Palestinian voter will vote for those who espouse Palestine as a whole, from the [Mediterranean] Sea to the [Jordan] River. The Palestinian voter will vote for those who uphold the blood and will of martyrs. The Palestinian voter will vote for those who granted us honor and actual victory. The Palestinian voter will vote for those who trampled the Zionists' heads underfoot, and wrote the loftiest verses of victory with their blood and body parts. The Palestinian voter will vote for those who developed rockets in order to launch them at the occupiers on our Palestinian land.
"The Palestinian voter will vote for those who sacrificed their leaders as martyrs for the sake of Allah. The Palestinian voter will vote for those who sacrificed their own children, one after the other – like Umm Nidhal Farahat did – as martyrs for the sake of Allah. [The Palestinian voter] will vote for the Umm Nidhal option, for the option of [female suicide bombers] Hanadi [Jaradat] and Rim Al-Riyashi, and for the option of Sheikh Nizar Rayan. [The Palestinian voter] will vote for the path of the martyred imam Ahmad Yassin, whose blood spelled out the command that Palestine means Palestine in its entirety, from the [Mediterranean] Sea to the [Jordan] River. I believe that the Palestinian voter will vote for those who brought us power, resistance, honor, and pride, Allah willing."
