Hizbullah-affiliated Lebanese academic Sadek Al-Naboulsi said in a March 3, 2025, interview with Spot Shot on YouTube that Ukrainian President Zelensky was humiliated by President Trump. He added that, similarly, some Arab heads of state had agreed to surrender, raise the white flag, and accept any American and Israeli terms. Al-Naboulsi criticized the Lebanese government for its lack of response to Israeli violations, noting that it hadn't even issued an official statement condemning the attacks. He suggested that the government appeared to be joining the "Arab compromise camp." He concluded: "The Lebanese will have no choice but to bear arms" and take responsibility where the state has relinquished. Al-Naboulsi urged "every honorable and believing fighter to bear arms and fight the Israeli enemy."
Sadek Al-Naboulsi: "Trump's meeting with Zelensky reflected the level of humiliation and disgrace of people who want to surrender to the great and powerful colonizers. Zelensky was humiliated by Trump. These are Arab regimes and Arab heads of states who agree to surrender and raise the white flag. They agree to any American and Israeli term, just so they could remain in power.

"Recently, we have witnessed violations by the Israeli enemy, in land, air, and sea, yet the state does not even issue an official statement condemning the Israeli attacks. It does nothing to make the Lebanese feel that their government indeed wants to defend its sovereignty and its land. It seems that this new government seeks fake sovereignty by joining the Arab compromise camp.

"President Joseph Aoun and Prime Minister Nawaf Salam say that they are committed to the liberation of the land. So we will wait and see. Let's witness this new experience. However, this chance that [we give the government] cannot be forever. The government cannot be given a blank check, while we sit idly by, watch houses being destroyed, and crops being bulldozed, just watching the [Israeli] violations in land, air, and sea, and keep silent and do nothing. I hereby urge any honorable person – if the state relinquishes its national responsibility to liberate the land... I urge every honorable and believing fighter to bear arms, and fight the Israeli enemy. This is a basic principle."
