Naboulsi: Hizbullah Doesn't Need To Transfer Weapons Into Lebanon Through The Beirut Airport – It Has A "Surplus Of Weapons" And Manufactures Weapons, Missiles Locally

Hizbullah-affiliated Lebanese academic Sadek Al-Naboulsi said in a December 10, 2022 show on Al-Jadeed TV (Lebanon) that Hizbullah does not need to transfer weapons into Lebanon through the Beirut Airport because it manufactures weapons locally. He said that Hizbullah has a "surplus of weapons" and he questioned whether "accusations" about Hizbullah's use of the Beirut airport to smuggle weapons is an attempt to sanction an attack against the airport similar to the Beirut Port attack. Sadek Al-Naboulsi: "Hizbullah has absolutely no need for the Beirut Airport to transfer weapons. Hizbullah has a surplus of weapons. It produces weapons, like Secretary-General [Nasrallah] said, and it has no need whatsoever for the Beirut Airport, or – according to previous claims – for the Beirut Port, in order to transfer weapons. Hizbullah has factories in Lebanon and it has become self-sufficient, in terms of the missiles it would need in any confrontation with the enemy."

Interviewer: "Hizbullah has weapon factories in Lebanon?"

Al-Naboulsi: "Hizbullah has said so. There are factories in Gaza, so why are you surprised that there are such factories in Lebanon?

[...]

"This accusation is a cause for concern. Is it an attempt to target the Beirut Airport, after the Beirut Port was targeted?"
