Houthi Political Bureau member Muhammad Al-Bakhiti said in a September 29, 2019 interview on Al-Manar TV (Leabnon) that if the Saudi leadership does not cease its aggression against Yemen and lift the siege, the Houthis may, in the future, turn their campaign into an offensive campaign with the goal of reaching Riyadh and toppling the Saud clan's regime. He said that Yemen can regain the geographic and demographic depth that had been sold by the corrupt Yemeni government.
Muhammad Al-Bakhiti: If the Saudi leadership does not agree to cease its aggression against Yemen and lift the siege, we may, in the future, change the aims of the campaign from defensive to offensive with the goal of eliminating the Saud regime. Just like they want to get to Sana'a, or are fighting to get there, our goal in the future can change from defending Sana'a to trying to get to Riyadh. This is our right according to the shari'a. Saudi Arabia has aimed to change the internationally recognized border… The Yemeni people were not happy, but we had to agree to this because of a corrupt regime that sold off Yemeni land. In the future, Allah willing, we can regain Yemen's geographic and demographic depth and topple the Saud regime.
